Richard specializes in Group Long Term Care insurance plans and oversees the overall performance of AIC, working closely with the firm’s employer group clients.

Prior to joining AIC full time, Richard served as the Chairman of Grote Financial Futures, a firm specializing in foreign exchange and interest rate forecasting and advisory services. He also held the position of Vice President at Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan) in New York and London, where he led the Foreign Exchange Advisory Service for Europe and the Middle East.

A Vietnam veteran, Richard was honored as the National Veterans Small Business Champion in 2007 by the United States Small Business Administration. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
